Welcome to Metta Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a Japanese form of therapeutic bodywork based on the energetic meridian system of traditional Chinese medicine.
Unlike more commonly known types of massage, it is practiced fully clothed on a comfortable mat on the floor without the use of oils. Through the use of stretches, mobilizations and pressure using the thumbs, fingers, palms as well as feet, elbows and knees, the shiatsu practitioner seeks to rebalance the energy (ki) flow of the client to promote safe, natural self-healing.
